Good news

We got an e-mail today from a songwriter we like very much, Maia Sharp. She's one of the songwriters who wrote "You are mine" on our last album, and we like her work very much. Our thought was to go to LA, where she lives, and write some songs with her, but it looks hard for us to get a week off to do that. Instead we invited her to Sweden... and now she wrote that she would love to come. Very exiting!

Today, after a quick good morning-coffee at the coffee shop in the corner of "Möllevångstorget", we went to our guitarist Sebbe's place and started to play around with some of our new stuff, in his studio. The result - a cool loop made of mouth sounds, for our latest up-tempo song... Calaisa goes beat box :)

Creative process

We feel like bears that have retired to our creative winter quarters. The contrast to our extremely public life 1 month ago is obvious. Now we have totally left the Melody festival behind us (the competition is over, and it turned out we were really put in "the group of death", after watching the vote results at aftonbladet.se).

Our days start at 10 am at Malin's place, where we meet to write, and write, and write songs. Last Friday we had a meeting with Per Sunding, the possible producer of our next album, to kick some ideas around and plan the test recording in April.
We are making good progress, and quite a few new songs have come about. Hopefully we soon have an album worth of songs, before it's time to record!

Photo session

Today we did a photo shoot with "Metro hela helgen". The theme was luxury, and the photo studio was "Kungsgatans café", with its beautiful medallion wallpaper and English 18th century furniture. The journalist and photographer had set the table with lobsters, champagne, fruit, chocolate and a HUGE cake. It's obvious that luxury to us is good food and drinks, at least one of the things we find luxurious.

Stockholm

After recovering from the Melody party, we took to Stockholm to meet with Per Aldeheim and finish our songwriting session with him. Last time we didn't quite have time to do even half good recordings, and we had some verses and bridges to make lyrics to. This time we finished them and recorded them roughly.
While in Stockholm we took the chance to go to two parties and meet some people. We went to the opening of "Bingo live" at Fridhemsplan, and to a fashion show at "Sturegallerian". None of the two events were late nighters, so we were up early every day working with Per.
When we were done we drove back to Malmo. A long trip, that wasn't any shorter when Lisa forgot her laptop at a gas station in Nyköping, and we had to go back like 10 Swedish miles to get it. She had taken it with her when we were buying coffee... just to keep watch on it!
Caisa gave her a hard time, until it turned out, many hours later, that she had forgotten her cell-phone in the returned rental car! She laughs longest who laughs last.
