Gotland

We are visiting Gotland this weekend. It's a beautiful island off the Swedish east coast, and it's the first time we are here. We are told however that it's much more beautiful and vivid in the summer, so we have decided to go here this summer again.
Anyway we don't see much of the island, because we are busy working in the studio with our latest project. Today we are recording guitar, bass and violin. Tomorrow song.

Thank You!

Thank you everyone who have made our Swedish Summer Tour such a success! Without your support we wouldn't have enoyed it half as much. We now know that every corned of Sweden is filled with beautiful singing-along Calaisa fans. How great!

We thank you and bow low to you!

Mölle 1

As a good almost-end to our summer tour we played in Malmoe last Saturday. Tent number 1 at Mölleplatsen was crowded with expectant Calaisa fans, and the feeling of walking up on the stage was incredible. This must be kind of what we have been dreaming of for so long, a venue filled with people who are there only to see us, and they sing along with the lyrics!

Playing infront of tens of thousands of people in England, supporting Simply Red was of course a great experience too, but having your own fans is far better!
And thanks to the fabulous support from everyone at the Malmoe festival Concert, we probably did one of our best gigs ever!

The Summer tour is comming to an end and we will play our last gig in Umeå Wednesday August 29. Feels a bit sad! Not to play in Umeå, but that it's our last gig for some time.

A country duet

Supporting Carlene Carter was a very nice experience, much because of the fantastic arena. You will not get the right impression by looking at "Dalhalla" on a picture, you have to be there. It's an extraordinary feeling to stand on the huge stage a few hundered meters down in the ground, surrounded by rock walls, with a little lake infront of the stage and a thin catwalk connecting the stage and the audience. One of the coolest arenas we have played at, for sure.

Dispite the rain, which seems to have followed us on this whole tour, people enjoyed our performance in their raincoats.
The concert ended with "Will the circle be unbroken" performed by Carlene and Calaisa together. A real country classic.

Calaisa at Dalhalla

Tomorrow July 30 we are playing at the beautiful arena of Rättvik, "Dalhalla", supporting Carlene Carter. "Dalhalla" is an old quarry with a small lake and room for 4000 people, surrounded by the deep forest. As the supporting act we will, off course, open for the head act, but the concert visitors will also see us play a song together with Carlene. Which song, willl remain a secret til tomorrow .

Congratulations Victoria!

We had the honor of playing for Crownprincess Viktoria on her 30th birthday on Saturday July 14. It was a beautiful day in Borgholm on Öland. It started with rehearsals together with the musicians and the TV crew. At 6.30pm the Royal Family arrived and Calaisa opened up the concert by singing the King's song. We would be lying if we said we weren't nervous, with milions of viewers, and the Royal Family 3 meters infront of us. We did our own version of the King's song, a very traditional song that has been performed hundreds of times before, fortunately the King seemed to like it:)
Later in the show we sang "Sisters in arms" and in the end all the artists performed together. It's always nice to work with other great artists and collegues, and we would especially like to thank Blacknus for backing us up in such a perfect way!
The whole show can be seen on the web. Check out the link to your left.

We hope that Crownprincess Viktoria had a great birthday and enjoyed the concert.
