Last day

After 5 creative and giving days in London we are now heading back home. But first we have to make ok-good recordings of the 4 songs we have written.
We have also promised to help out and put some vocals on a song the Danish guys have written. They needed some female voices, and we're here, so why not.

Feels nice to get home. It might not look very tiering from the outside, but writing songs is actually extremely exhausting.

Our Irish friend Gareth is in Malmö when we get home. Which probably means a weekend of beer drinking and going out. Hope we're up for it!

Songwriting

London day one - We split up in two groups, Caisa and Anna with Nicolai, Malin and Lisa with Chris. Both Nico and Chris are Danish, but even though we speak almost the same language we communicate with eachother in English for some reason. It seems better while in England.
Anyway, the first day we started writing one song each in the two groups. It's kind of hard when you first sit down with a total stranger. You don't know how that other person works and what he likes, so you're kind of careful and try to listen much to what he has to say. This might mean that it takes very long to get somewhere, and so it did. By 8pm we called it a day, and had two half finished songs.

Day two - The two groups melt together to one big group, and we finished both songs, recorded them around one mic, and went to the pub to celebrate.

Day three, today - We stayed one big group and wrote another song that we are going to record tomorrow. The day ended on Top Shop, and off course Wagamama. We are a bit monotonous, but it's dam good.

Tomorrow after work we are invited to a concert in Notting Hill gate.

London

We're back in London again... and off course we went straight to Wagamama to have a good Ramen. Everything is as i should.
Tomorrow 11.30 we will head to the studio and empty our heads of all the great hit songs we have in there... hopefully.

Sibel, our documentary maker is also in London to follow us with the camera.

Back to London

We are preparing our going back to London. Last time we were there we established contact with a studio, that we are now going back to work in. We are not going there to record, but to spend a week writing songs in different constellations. (There are a bunch of good songwriters working in the studio). Hopefully we will leave London with a few demos of new great songs. Our expectations are big, since it's a well known studio with a good reputation.

Neil Young

Forgot to write about the "En afton"-concert at Debaser in Malmoe, a tribute to Neil Young. Calaisa and a bunch of other artists played two songs each.
It's great to interpret another artist, and when that other artist is Neil Young it's really a pleasure.
